Question 1

How do I find a suitable event photographer for a trade fair appearance in Europe?

Accepted Answer

Look for work samples from trade fairs and corporate events: they show how an event photographer handles exhibition hall lighting, busy stands and spontaneous conversations. Include the trade fair location, date, duration of coverage and desired subjects in your enquiry. Also clarify whether you need images for the press, website, social media or internal communications.

Question 2

What should I prepare for trade fair photography in Cologne or Düsseldorf?

Accepted Answer

For a trade fair appearance in Cologne or Düsseldorf, a brief with the hall and stand number, contact people and schedule is helpful. Record when product demonstrations, customer appointments or team photos are to take place. Coordinate access to the trade fair and any photography requirements with the organiser so that photographic coverage at the stand can be planned smoothly.

Question 3

Can trade fair stand catering in Essen or Dortmund be covered photographically?

Accepted Answer

Yes, trade fair stand catering can be part of event coverage, for example through images of the food presentation, service and atmosphere at the stand. For your appearance in Essen or Dortmund, schedule detail shots before the rush of guests where possible. During operations, photography and filming should not obstruct food service or conversations with visitors.

Question 4

When is it worth hiring a videographer as well as an event photographer in Frankfurt, Stuttgart or Munich?

Accepted Answer

Video coverage is useful if you want to capture product demonstrations, interviews or talks with movement and sound. Photos complement this for press reports, image galleries and individual posts. For your corporate event in Frankfurt, Stuttgart or Munich, decide in advance which formats should be produced and whether interviews need a quiet recording area and separate sound equipment.

Question 5

What information should an enquiry for event photography in Karlsruhe or Leipzig include?

Accepted Answer

Specify the event location in Karlsruhe or Leipzig, date, coverage times, occasion and planned schedule. Add the most important subjects, the desired extent of editing and your delivery deadline. To obtain a comparable quote, travel, possible additional hours and the required usage rights should also be explicitly clarified.

Question 6

How do I plan photography and filming at a trade fair in Hamburg, Hanover or Berlin?

Accepted Answer

Create a shooting schedule with fixed times for talks, stand activities and team photos, as well as time slots for spontaneous situations. For a trade fair in Hamburg, Hanover or Berlin, routes between shooting locations, access times and the organiser's requirements are also important. A contact person at the stand can alert the photographer or videographer to relevant moments at short notice.

Question 7

What usage rights do I need for photos and videos of a corporate event?

Accepted Answer

Agree on whether you may use the images and footage on your website, on social media, for press relations, advertisements or internal purposes. Also clarify the duration of use, geographical scope, editing and sharing with partners. Separately, personality rights and data protection must be observed: agree on the necessary information and consent, particularly for identifiable people, interviews and promotional portraits.
